RAYNHAM – Irene L. (LaFrance) Cobb, wife of the late Emil T. Cobb, died at her Raynham home on Jan. 30, 2015. She was 101. Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Simeon and Laura (Ross) LaFrance, Mrs. Cobb had resided in Raynham for the past sixty-three years. She was a homemaker for most of her adult life. A communicant of St. Ann Church and Eucharistic Minister, Mrs. Cobb also served as recording secretary for the parish’s CCD program. She was a member of the Raynham Sociable Seniors. A Raynham Food Basket volunteer, she attended Raynham’s Countryside Adult Day Health Center. Talented with a needle and thread, she enjoyed fashioning her own clothing in her spare time. Survivors include a son, Michael Cobb of Raynham; three grandchildren, Mark McAuley and his wife Darlene of Raynham, Karen McAuley of Bridgewater and Steven McAuley of Quincy; and two great grandchildren, Grace and Joseph McAuley of Raynham. She was also the mother of the late Diane McAuley. Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, Feb. 4th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Ann Church, Raynham at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Edward J. Dulak, of Berkley, died after a short illness Thursday, January 29, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. Born 86 years ago to the late Kazimierz and Zofia (Kulpa) Dulak, he was the husband of Jeannette Rose (Lemieux) Dulak for 37 years. A lifelong Berkley resident, he graduated from Berkley High School and Northeastern University’s Lincoln Institute. Mr. Dulak retired as a Civil Engineer from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Highway Department in Taunton after serving 34 years. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, and one of the areas earliest draftees, Mr. Dulak served in war-torn Germany as a member of the 7th US Army 62nd AAABN. Mr. Dulak, a communicant of Holy Rosary Church, was extremely proud of his Polish heritage, and was a life member of the Polish American Citizen’s Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sisters Bertha Souza of Taunton, and Natalie (Wresilo) Dulak of Bridgeport, CT, and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late John and Celia Dulak, Adela Thompson and Emily Sobolewski. TAUNTON — Mr. Stanislaw (Stanley) Boboruzian, of Taunton, died on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at home. He was the loving husband of Stanislawa (Stacia) Lichacz Boboruzian, with whom he had shared 65 years of marriage. Born and educated in Lwow, Poland, he was the son of the late Mikolaj and Albina (Truhan) Boboruzian. After being separated from his family at the age of 15 at the outset of World War II and detained in a German work camp, he began his career as an accountant in Poland and ultimately retired from the Foxboro Company many years ago. He enjoyed spending time with family, walking, woodworking, and watching any sport he could on television. Stanley was the cherished father of Elizabeth Boboruzian of Taunton, Mary and Michael Shanahan of Marblehead and Jan and Cynthia Boboruzian of Taunton, and father in law of Debra Boboruzian of Plymouth. Loving grandfather of William (Ted) Shanahan and his wife Jaclyn of New York, Michael Shanahan Jr. and his wife Devin of New York, Elizabeth Shanahan of Boston, and Clare Shanahan of Marblehead, Alexandria Boboruzian of Plymouth, and Mara and Thomas Boboruzian of Taunton. He was the greatgrandfather of Elizabeth Shanahan , and brother of Wanda Klimczak and her late husband Joseph and Irena Huriez and her husband Jerold and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Edward (Stan) Boboruzian and his grandson Eric Boboruzian. A service will be held on Wednesday February 4th at 11 a.m. at the O’Keefe Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton. Calling hours will be held from 9:30am-11am Wednesday morning. Born in California, he was the son of the late Candido and Dolores (Perry) Perry. Kenny was a longtime resident of the Taunton area and served in the US Army during WWII. A retired occupational therapist, he was employed by Taunton State Hospital for many years. In his spare time, Kenny enjoyed ceramics. Survivors include a stepson, James Medeiros and his wife Martha of Virginia; a sister, Betty Smith of Raynham; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. TAUNTON – Anne Frances (Burgess) Franco of Taunton, wife of the late Edward S. Franco, died at the Marian Manor on Feb. 3, 2015. She was 94. Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Silva) Burgess. She graduated from Taunton High School in 1938, and attended Fisher College. Employed as a secretary for the L.G. Balfour Company of Attleboro for many years, she retired in 1991. A communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church, and member of the Women’s Guild, Anne was a Eucharistic Minister, and was past president of the Holy Rosary Society. A member of the St. Vincent DePaul and Holy Ghost Societies, she was also treasurer of the Council of Catholic Women, past secretary of the Taunton Women’s Club, and a longtime member of the Weir Seniors. She was a recipient of the Margaret M. Lahey Award. Survivors include a sister, Phyllis E. McClellan of Lake Worth, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Janet A. Freeman. Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway Taunton on Saturday, Feb. 7th at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. TAUNTON – Fernando L. Rivas, husband of Maria E. Morales of Taunton, died at Morton Hospital on Feb. 6, 2015. He was 59. Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Juan and Celia (Martinez) Rivas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. A resident of the United States since 1979, he had lived in Taunton since 2003. Fernando was employed by GATRA as a maintenance man. He had previously worked for Havoc Industries. Hard working and easy going, Fernando enjoyed the theatre and professional wrestling. He will be remembered as a wonderful and loving husband who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his wife, he leaves a stepson, John Flores; ten stepdaughters, Maria Ortiz, Luz Flores, Milagros and Juanita Morales, Carmen Alicea, Margarita and Maria Gonzalez and Tamika and Tanya Flores; a brother, Juan Rivas; three sisters, Ana, Aida and Iris Rivas; a special nephew, Jose Miranda; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was also the stepfather of the late Osvaldo “Brian” Flores and Ana Gonzales; and was predeceased by three siblings, Saul, Samuel and Rosin Rivas. In East Taunton, February 10, 2015 Elizabeth M. Phillips Age 88, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Russell W. Phillips. She was born in Northampton, Ma, the daughter of the late Everett & Margaret (Hanlon) Smith. Elizabeth has resided most of her life in the Taunton area. She was employed as a secretary for the former Robertson’s Curtain Factory in Taunton. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bingo, bowling and her family. Elizabeth leaves her children: Margaret “Peggy” Vincent and her husband Stephen of East Taunton, Curtis Phillips and his wife Frances of Taunton, William Phillips and his wife Eileen of Taunton and the late Michael Phillips. She also leaves her nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Saturday, Feb. 14th at 7 pm. In Taunton, February 7, 2015 Margaret Perry-Correia Age 78, passed away in Taunton Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. Margaret is survived by her loving husband Joseph Correia. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Lima) Monteiro. Margaret has resided in Taunton all her life. She was employed as a specialized foster parent. She was a member of the Oakland Seniors and enjoyed puzzles, fishing, swimming, loved all animals and above all was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Margaret leaves her children Marina Dominick of Taunton, Antone McSween of Taunton, Katheryn Dominick of CT, Jessica Brady of Taunton and the late Margaret McSween. She also leaves her 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She also leaves her siblings Anna Perry of Worcester, Antone and Manuel Perry of Taunton, her sister in laws Virginia Perry and Dorothy Dolan and her late siblings Mary Welch, Gloria Costa and Theresa Perry. A private funeral service was held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. TAUNTON – Joseph Aranjo, Jr., died unexpectedly at his Taunton home on Feb. 11, 2015. He was 73. Born, raised, and educated in Taunton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Balbina “Bella” (Francis) Aranjo. A lifelong resident of Taunton and 1958 graduate of Taunton High School, he later, proudly served as an infantryman with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War in the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 199th Light Infantry Brigade. Joseph also served and retired from the Commonwealth, as Director of Recreation at the Paul A. Dever State School for the Department of Developmental Services (formerly known as DMR). Beyond his retirement, he continued servicing adults with developmental disabilities at Road to Responsibility, Inc. until 2014. He leaves his fiancé Maggie Santos of Lakeville; a son, Joseph Aranjo, III of San Diego; a daughter, Laurie-Anne Jackson of Raynham; a brother, Barry Aranjo of Taunton; two sisters, Diane Aranjo Reckard and Joanne Aranjo Ricketts, both of Taunton; four grandchildren, Dylan Patrick Aranjo and Ruby Belle Aranjo of San Diego, and Ayla Reilly Jackson and Jemma Grey Jackson of Raynham; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Barry Ricketts. Born and raised in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Wasyl and Anna (Czepiel) Gulij. A retired printer foreman, Mrs. Buczek was employed by Reed & Barton Silversmiths for many years before retiring in 1984. She was a communicant of the former Holy Rosary Church. Dorothy Mae (Kelley) Dean passed away at the age of 97 at the Longmeadow Nursing Home on February 14, 2015. She was born in Taunton the daughter of the late William and Mary Elizabeth (Astin) Kelley. She was the wife of the late John H. Dean who predeceased her in 1974. She was also predeceased by brothers Milton Earl Kelley, Kenneth Irwin Kelley, William Gordon Kelley, Russell Edward Kelley, John Bradford Kelley, Frederick Malcolm Kelley and sister Myrtle Elizabeth Reagan Murphy. An honor graduate of Taunton High School class of 1938, she was a lifelong Taunton resident. She worked for eight years at Reed & Barton, retiring in 1983. “Dot” as she was known by her friends is survived by her son John Harris Dean of Fullerton, California; granddaughter Mandy Lynn Knotts and her husband Jared of Luling Texas, and great grandchildren Mason Dean Knotts and Hudson Clark Knotts. Services will be private and interment will be in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton.

TAUNTON – Joseph Mattos, Jr., husband of Rose (Mello) Mattos, with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage in August, died at the Taunton Nursing Home after a short illness on Feb. 17, 2015. He was 90 years old. Born, raised, and educated in Taunton, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Elvira (Moitoso) Mattos. Joseph was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army in Germany during much of the reconstruction. He was employed for 41 years in the shipping and receiving department of the Mansfield Chocolate Factory. A communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Joe loved his neighbors, friends, and summers at his place on Cape Cod. He was an avid gardener, as was evidenced by his immaculate home and yard. Always ready to give a helping hand where needed to friends and relatives alike, he was loved by all who knew him. Besides his wife, he leaves his daughter, Elizabeth Mattos of Taunton; his sister, Mary Silvia of Taunton; his niece, Nancy Lopes and her husband Tony of Taunton; his grand-nephew, Chris Lopes of Taunton; and his great-niece, Alyssa Potter and her husband John of Plainville. TAUNTON – Marguerite L. (Medeiros) Perry, wife of Gabriel Perry, died at her Taunton home on Feb. 17, 2015. She was 84. Born and raised in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Correia) Medeiros. A graduate of Taunton High School, Mrs. Perry was a homemaker for most of her adult life. She was an avid reader; and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She especially enjoyed summers by her pool with her family. In addition to her husband, she leaves two daughters, Cheryl Perry of Taunton and Gena McKenna and her husband John of Middleboro; four grandchildren, Robert and T.J. Perry, and Nicholas and Cullan McKenna; four great grandchildren, Courtney Soares, and Kendra, Mylie and Brayden Perry; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Michael Perry, and the sister of the late Manuel Medeiros, Mary Fontes, Stella Ferreira and Evelyn Costa.
