TAUNTON – Marion Doel Westcoat Koss, wife of the late Walter Koss and the late David Westcoat, Sr., died at the Life Care Center of Raynham on March 4, 2013. She was 98 years old. Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Edith (Jackson) Doel, Sr. Mrs. Koss was raised and educated in Taunton and was a graduate of Taunton High School. A retired restaurant proprietor, she owned and operated the former Marion’s Restaurant for over twenty years. Mrs. Koss was a member of the East Taunton Congregational Church. Survivors include a son, David Westcoat, Jr. of East Taunton; two daughters, Joanne and Diane, two brothers; William R. Doel of Berkley, and John R. Doel of Springfield; two sisters, Dorothy Doel Newcomb of Florida, and Thelma Doel Sylvia of Lakeville; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Helen Doel Wilbur and Harriet Doel Erwin. Mrs. Koss’s services are private at the request of the family.
