Mrs. Ann (Kelley) Cote, of Marion and formerly of Taunton, died unexpectedly, Thursday, December 26, in Tobey Hospital, Wareham. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles L. Cote. She was born 87 years ago in Wigin, England, the daughter of the late William and Annie (Martindale) Kelley. She immigrated to the United States at age 6 and was educated in Hanson and Abington. Ann was a Taunton resident for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as an inspector for Texas Instruments, Attleboro for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a former communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Taunton.
She leaves: 4 sons: Charles L. Cote and his wife, Terry of Williamsburg, Va., Thomas J. Cote and his wife Susan of Phoenix, Az., John P. Cote and his wife Susan of Taunton, and James M. Cote and his wife, Carol of Attleboro; 2 daughters: Nancy A. Caldeira and her husband, William of W.Wareham, and Laura E. Hall and her partner, Joann Dern of W.Wareham; 2 brothers: William Kelley and his wife Maria of Norton, and John Kelley and his wife, Jan of Abington; 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ann was also the sister of the late Thomas, George, James and Kitty Kelley.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Tuesday, December 31 at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will precede the funeral, Tuesday, from 8:30 to 10:00 A.M. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital, P.O. Mrs. Dorothy M. “Dot” (Larabee) Goff, of Taunton, died Thursday, December 26 at Longmeadow of Taunton following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Goff. She was born 91 years ago in Rochester, N.H., the daughter of the late Frank and Molly (Cushing) Larabee. Dot was a Taunton resident for many years.

TAUNTON – Josephine R. “Joy” (Cambra) LaCombe of Taunton died at Morton Hospital on Dec. 28, 2013.
She was 66.
Born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Joseph V. and Josephine (Viveiros) Cambra, she was a lifelong Taunton resident.
Joy was a graduate of Taunton High School and Fisher Junior College.
She was employed by the City of Taunton for many years, working in the Tax Collector’s Office and for the Taunton Housing Committee.
A Head Start program volunteer, in her spare time she enjoyed cooking and calligraphy.
It was obvious to all that knew Joy, that she loved people and loved God.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald J. LaCombe, Sr. and his wife Debra, and Antonio Mendes, Sr. all of Taunton; three daughters, Rhonda Phipps and her husband Robert, Angela Milne, and Marci Mendes, all of Taunton; a sister, Patricia Horton of Taunton; eight grandchildren, Kristle LaCombe, Jesari Jones-Milne, Antonaya Mendes, Ronald J. LaCombe, Jr., Junathean Vinnie, Antonio Mendes, Jr., Jennifer Lawrence and Amanda LaCombe; two nieces, Paula Ornellas and Karen Beard; several nephews; and several great-nieces and great- nephews.
She was also sister of the late John Ornellas, Theresa Ornellas and Geraldine Beard.
Memorial Services will be held at the Antioch Church, 176 Somerset Ave. Taunton on Saturday, Jan. 4th at 11 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Veteran: Joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1966-1970, serving his time in the Vietnam War, graduating to Lance Corporal, earning awards and medals befoe receiving honorable discharge. He was also an Aviation hydraulic mechanic/ tester.
Occupation: Retired, but was formerly an OTR truck driver, former owner of Girlies Variety Convenience Store and former bindery machine operator, becoming supervisor at Rand McNally.
Education: 1966 graduate of Taunton High School. Graduate of the Taunton High Cadet Armory on Pleasant St.
He loved fishing and gardening, enjoyed hunting and golfing as well as singing, dancing, and playing the piano. He also enjoyed Bingo and spending time with the family. He was a “jack of all trades”. His love of fishing included his making an at-home, outdoor fish pond where he bred small fish. He took great pleasure and pride in the pond and shared it with those around him.

TAUNTON – Raymond L. Dreis, husband of Yvonne F. (Rakocy) Dreis of Taunton, died at Morton Hospital on Jan. 1, 2014.
He was 71.
Born in Dighton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elise L. (Yerrington) Dreis.
Raised in the Westville section of Taunton, Mr. Dreis was employed by the former Haskon Industries as a fabricator for over thirty-seven years.
He retired in 2010.
He enjoyed going to yard sales and had an eye for antiques.
In addition to his wife, he leaves the son he never had, Gary Bradshaw and his wife Diane of Taunton; a sister-in-law, Maxine Lee and her husband Richard of NC; and three nieces, Carrie Lee of NC, and Kathy Rego of Taunton and Marcia Tripp, of FL.
He was also the loving father of the late Deirdre D. Dreis, and the brother of the late James Dreis and Doris Hennegan.
Calling hours will be at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Sunday, Jan. 5th from 5 to 7 p.m.

Taunton, Cidonio M. Raposo passed away at the age of 81 on January 3, 2014 at Morton Hospital and Medical Center after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Born in Ribeira Grande São Miguel, Azores migrating to the United States in 1986. Loving husband to Idelta (Silva) Raposo. Son of the late José and Irondina Raposo. He was a Volunteer Firefighter, member of the Animal Cruelty Prevention Association in the Azores and a master craftsman. He was also a member of the Taunton Eagles Club. Enjoyed reading and family trips to Cape Cod. Most of all he loved spending time with his family who adored him greatly. He will be greatly missed by many. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters Ana and husband José Arruda of Taunton, Paula and husband Marcos Azevedo of Taunton, along with four grandchildren, Joshua and Jonathan Arruda, Alexandre and Raquel Azevedo. Visiting hours will be Tuesday Jan. 7, 2014 from 5-8pm, and Funeral services on Wednesday Jan. 8, 10am at Taunton Funeral Home. Following Burial procession to May Flower Hill Cemetery.

TAUNTON – Antonio C. Sousa, 81, of Taunton, died at Morton Hospital on Jan. 5, 2014.
Born and raised in St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel and Maria Agusta (Moniz) Sousa.
A Taunton resident since 1966, Mr. Sousa was employed by Parker Brothers for many years.
After his retirement, he worked for Trucchi’s Supermarkets on a part-time basis for ten years.
In his younger years, Mr. Sousa took great pride in taking care of his grapevine, and his spare time, he enjoyed spectator sports.
He was communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Amelia (Medeiros) Sousa of Taunton; three sons, Carlos A. Sousa and his wife Natalia of Taunton, Mario Sousa and his wife Joan of Swansea and Anterio Sousa and his wife Maria of Taunton; a sister, Maria Jose Nunes of Taunton; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Leonora Sousa.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, Jan. 9th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mrs. Maureen Alice (Mulvey) Henault, of Taunton, died Monday, January 6 in the Golden Living Center-Wedgemere following a period of failing health. She celebrated her 84th birthday on December 5. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late William J. and Helen (Russell) Mulvey, Sr, and was a lifelong city resident. She was educated in Taunton, having graduated from the former St. Mary’s High School, and graduated from the former Taunton Vocational School of Nursing while raising her 4 children on her own. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the former Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton for 20 years. Maureen was previously employed at Marian Manor for 10 years. She was a member of the Marian Manor Bowling League. She enjoyed playing bingo, crossword puzzles, and was a passionate fan of all the Boston sports teams. She was a communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Taunton.
She leaves: 2 sons: Kevin G. Henault of Taunton and Keith J. Henault of St. Cloud, Fla.; 1 daughter: Renee M. Gray and her husband, Michael of Taunton; 1 brother: Edward Mulvey and his wife, Joan of Taunton; 2 sisters: Helen Goldbach and her husband, Steve of Palm Coast, Fla., and Nancy Foster of Orlando, Fla.; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Maureen was also the mother of the late Gary J. Henault of Taunton, and the sister of the late William J. Mulvey, Jr. of Taunton.

TAUNTON – Anthony J. Vieira, husband of the late Dorothy (Castle) Vieira, died at his Taunton home on Jan. 8, 2014.
He was 96.
Born in Dighton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Thomas) Vieira.
He was raised and educated in Taunton.
A retired machinist, Mr. Vieira was employed by Taunton Auto Supply for many years, retiring in 1979.
In his younger years, he had worked for the former New England Brass Company.
Mr. Vieira played the harmonica and enjoyed gardening, yard work and photography.
Handy with tools, he enjoyed woodworking and repair work.
In his spare time, he enjoyed going for Sunday drives and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Frederick Vieira and his wife Jeannine of Taunton; two daughters, Marjorie Romines of Lawton, OK, and Anna Thurston of Taunton; eight grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Joseph, Charles and Edward Vieira, and the late Alice Leal and Mary DeFrias.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday, Jan 11th at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

In Taunton, Arnold F. Perry of Taunton passed away Monday, January 6, 2014, at home. He was the husband of the late Angelina R. Perry who preceded him in death in 2013. Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Antone Perry and Mary (Mattos) Perry. He is survived by his son Wayne F. Perry and his loving companion Marsha Moshier and daughter Karen M. Perry of Taunton in addition to several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Arnold served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. For over 30 years he worked at Paul A. Dever State School. Also for 30 years he owned his own Poultry Farm and was in business with his son. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, retired men eating out club and spending time with family and friends. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Saturday, January 11th from 1-2 PM with a service to follow at 2 PM. Taunton, George Lundin Jr. passed away on January 9, 2014 at Morton Hospital and Medical Center after a brief illness at the age of 85. He was the loving husband of the late Dorothy (Foster) Lundin. George was born in Brockton Ma, son of the late George and Mildred (Beale) Lundin. George worked for Rumford Litho for 45years until retirement. He was a Member of the National Guard Reserve. He belonged to the 49ers Club in Bridgewater. He enjoyed bocce, camping, square dancing, and horse shoes. His most pride and joy in his life was spending time with his family and raising his six children, Diane Buckley of E. Taunton, Richard Lundin of NH, George Lundin of Stoughton, Lillian Marden of Raynham, Dorothy Lundin of Randolph, and Joseph Lundin of Fl. He was the loving brother of Eldon Lundin of SC and Edna Lundin of Brockton. He was the loving grandfather of Stephanie Levin, Krystal Vargha, Elissa Childers, Michelle McGrath, Daniel Lundin, James Lundin, Joseph Lundin, Brandon Buckley, Adam Goodwin, Greg Goodwin, Austin Blay and Ashley Blay. He is also is survived by six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. George was loved by many and will be greatly missed. In Fall River, January 11, 2014 Mary M. Craig, Age 78 passed away in the Catholic Memorial Home following a lengthy period of failing health, while surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Rockland, MA, the daughter of the late Robert M. MacLeod and Mary (Holbrook) MacLeod. Mary has resided in Taunton since 1993, formerly of Patten, ME and Middleboro. She attended schools in Middleboro and Husson College in Bangor, ME and a graduate of the Brockton School of Nursing. She was employed as the director of Day-Hab Services in Norton and an LPN. Mary was an avid Red Sox fan, she enjoyed music and above all cherished her grandchildren. Mary leaves her children Robert Craig and his wife Kathleen of Taunton, Sarah McNally and her husband Patrick of Berkley, Stephen Craig and his wife Sharon of Portland, ME and Marjorie Silva and her husband Manuel of West Wareham, MA. She also leaves her eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mary is survived by her siblings Sheila Emery of Abington, Douglass MacLeod and his wife Cheryl of Abington and the late Donald MacLeod. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. TAUNTON – Stella M. (Bollmann) Rogers, a longtime Taunton resident, died at Longmeadow of Taunton on Jan. 12, 2014.
She was 92.
Born in Guatemala, she was the daughter of the late Jorge and Antonio (Maldonado) Bollmann.
Stella moved to New Orleans in 1952 and met her future husband, Jack Rogers, Jr.
They had been married for the past fifty-eight years.
A homemaker for most of her adult life, and communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church, Stella enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
She attended Tulane University while in New Orleans, and was fluent in three languages.
In addition to her husband of Taunton, she leaves a son, Glenn D. Rogers and his wife Anne of Berkley; a daughter, Susan S. Rogers of Taunton; two grandchildren, Selena Rogers of Berkley and Glenn D. Rogers, Jr. of FL; a great granddaughter, Aubrey Resendes of Berkley; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Yvonne Rogers, and the sister of the late Jorge and Frederick Bollmann.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday, Jan. 18th at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of The Lord Church at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Raised and educated in Foxboro and Taunton, MA, in his spare time, Ray enjoyed video and online gaming; music, DJing, snow skiing and spending time with his children, Andrew, Gavin and Alexia Mort, all of CT.
In addition to his mother and children, he leaves three sisters, Candace, Shannon and Ashley Mort, all of Taunton; his stepfather, Thomas Bruso of Taunton; his paternal grandmother, June Mort of Plainville, MA; several siblings in New Hampshire; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Mr. Daniel Francis “Mac” McGuire, of Rehoboth and formerly of Taunton, died Tuesday, January 14 at his residence following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Cabral) McGuire. He was born 76 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Andrew and Stephanie (Machnik) McGuire. He was educated in Taunton and had been a Rehoboth resident since 2013. Prior to his retirement, he was a self-employed carpenter in the Taunton area for many years, retiring to West Virginia 10 years ago. Daniel was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served aboard the U.S.S. Macon during the Post Korean War era. Following his Naval service, he enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard, where he served for 12 years, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant with the 26th Infantry Division Artillery. He was a member of the Bristol County Street Rod Association. Daniel enjoyed the time he spent at many swap meets and car shows. His passions were hot rods and collecting Hot Wheels. He also enjoyed woodworking, canning, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he leaves: His twin sons, Dale and Daniel McGuire; 2 daughters: Stephanie Rohan and Angela Fogle; a stepson: Brad Reilly; 2 sisters: Patricia Slavin and Susan St. Goddard; 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Andrew, Chester, and Edward McGuire and Maureen Smith.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Riendeau – Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Friday, January 17 at 8:00 P.M. Visiting Hours will precede the Service, Friday, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In Taunton, January 11, 2014 Joseph Howarth, Age 34 passed away unexpectedly at his home. He was born and resided in Taunton, the son of Bill & Lynda (Personeni) Higginbotham. Joseph has lived in Taunton his entire life. He was a graduate of Bristol Plymouth Regional High School. Joseph worked for Edron Co. in Raynham as an electronics technician. Joseph was an avid reader and enjoyed Steven King’s novels especially. He also enjoyed softball, playing games with his nieces and nephews and cherished his time with family. Besides his parents Joseph leaves his siblings Adam Higginbotham and his wife Rani of Taunton, Hope Higginbotham and fiancée Zack of Taunton, Tanya Celona and husband Scott of Taunton and Zachary Higginbotham of Taunton. He also leaves his grandmother Joyce Personeni of FL. and his late grand parents Richard Personeni, Donald & Virginia Higginbotham. A church service will be held on Monday, January 20th at 11 am. at the Christ Community Church, 518 Middleboro Ave. East Taunton, MA 02718. Burial will be private at the request of the family.

TAUNTON – Lloyd T. Lakin of Raynham, husband of the late Dorothy (Medas) Lakin, died at Morton Hospital on Jan. 15, 2014.
He was 80 years old.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late James and Jesse (Maxim) Lakin.
Lloyd was raised and educated in Taunton.
A graduate of Taunton High School, he later served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He was employed as a lineman by Ocean Spray in Lakeville for many years.
An avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, Lloyd enjoyed bird watching, jigsaw puzzles and collecting Pink Panther memorabilia.
He was also an avid stamp collector. Survivors include his stepson, Scott F. Jacobs of Raynham; two brothers, James Lakin of Taunton, and Donald Lakin of Carver; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the stepfather of the late Gary J. Jacobs.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, Jan. 20th at 12 noon.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, prior to the Services.

In Taunton, January 17, 2014 Barbara A. (Curley) Taylor, Age 81, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was the wife of the late William Taylor Sr. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late James & Anna (Lupold) Curley. Barbara has resided in Taunton since 1961 and was formerly of Boston. She was employed as a nurse’s aide for both Marian Manor Nursing Home and Morton Hospital. Barbara enjoyed the beach, reading and cherished her time with family, especially her grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her children Donna LaChance and her husband Steven of Taunton, William Taylor Jr. and his wife Susan Malloch Taylor of East Taunton and Anna Mitsiaris and her husband George of East Taunton. Her brother Charles Curley of East Taunton and the late James Curley, Thomas Curley and Anna Peavler. Barbara leaves her loving grandchildren Shana Taylor and her fiancée Neil Dootson, Tonya Miller and her husband Dan, Billy Taylor all of East Taunton, Robin LaChance of Taunton and Jonathan and Lauren Mitsiaris of East Taunton and her great grandchildren Peyton Bradshaw, Ethan Taylor and Ava Miller. LAKELAND, FL – Albina Gina (DeBaggis) Lopes, wife of the late Charles M. Lopes, died at the Lakeland Hospice House in Lakeland, FL on Jan 17, 2014.
She was 83.
Born, raised and educated in Franklin, MA, she was the daughter of the late Elenterio and Josephine (d’Aloni) DeBaggis.
She was a resident of Taunton, MA for many years.
A retired caretaker, Albina was employed by the former Paul A. Dever State School for over twenty-two years.
She retired in 1979.
A member of AARP and former member of the Taunton Council on Aging, Albina enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid reader.
Survivors include two sons, Charles A. Lopes and his wife Richalie, with whom she resided in Lakeland, and Robert J. Lopes of Taunton; five grandchildren, Stephanie, Rachel, Leona and Gina Lopes, and Jennifer Collins; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Reginaldo and William DeBaggis, Yolanda Sciolto and Eleanor Del Bini.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, MA on Friday, Jan. 24th at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.

TAUNTON – Louise M. Perry Pimental, wife of Alfred J. Pimental and the late George J. Perry, died at Marian Manor on Jan. 21, 2014. She was 85.

Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Louis F. and Marion (Rebello) Soares. She was a lifelong Taunton resident.

A 1946 graduate of Taunton High School, Louise co-owned and co-operated the George Perry Rug Co. with her late, former husband for many years.

Later, she taught cake decorating at Bristol Plymouth High School and at Party Cake – Party Cake.

A communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church, Louise was a member of the parish’s Holy Rosary Sodality, was past president of the Women’s Guild, and sang in the choir.

A recipient of the Marian Medal Award, she worked as a volunteer for the St. Vincent DePaul Society, often running Bingo and whist parties.

She was also a member of the Red Hats and Taunton Women’s Club.

In addition to her husband of Taunton, she leaves two sons, Ronald G. Perry and his wife Linda of Hudson, FL, and Mark A. Perry and his wife Annette of Taunton;

two daughters, Lillian M. Schleicher and her husband Leo of Raynham, and Judith A. Sousa and her husband Glenn of Dighton;

a sister, Mary Sears of Taunton; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and one niece.

She was also sister of the late Lillian Soares.

Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday Jan. 25th at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of The Lord Church at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 24th from 5 to 7 p.m.

Burial will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery.
