In Taunton, of Benefit Street, July 19, 2012 Michael Mello husband of Maria (Ferreira) Mello died at Morton Hospital in Taunton at the age of 79. Born and educated in St Michael, Portugal, Michael was the son of the late Joseph and Maria (Costa) Mello. He was a jewelry machine operator for Leavens Awards and Balfour in Attleboro. Michael was a number one clarinet player in St Michael, He also taught and wrote music in St Michael. Michael was the father of Marilia Mello of Taunton and Ernest Mello of Taunton. Grandfather of Ashley Vieira of Taunton and Nicholas Mello of Foxboro. Brother of Maria Luis and her husband Antonio of Taunton. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Monday, July 23rd at 8 AM. A Mass will be held at St Anthony’s Church in Taunton at 9 AM. In Clearwater FL, July 13, 2012 Michael F. Moniz husband of Beverly G. (Correia) Moniz died in his home peacefully at the age of 64. Born and educated in Taunton, Michael was the son of Lydia (Correia) Moniz and the late Francis Moniz. Before moving to Florida Michael worked at the Woos Hole Oceanographic Institute in Falmouth. When Michael moved to Florida he worked for many construction companies as a foreman. Michael was the brother of James Moniz of PA, David Moniz and his wife Sue of Falmouth and Karan Cordeiro and her husband Rick of Taunton. Nephew of Edward and Irene Rozzi of CT and Anthony and Abrea Correia of Oregon. Uncle of several nieces and nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Wednesday, July 25th from 5-7 PM. A service will be held after the calling hours at 7 PM. TAUNTON – David A. Prado, husband of Marion (Aspinall) Prado of Taunton, entered into eternal rest on July 20, 2012.
He was 73.
Born, raised and educated in Taunton, he was the son of the late Ernest and Mary (Enos) Prado.
A U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, he graduated from Massasoit Community College with a degree in electronics, and worked locally in the electronics field for many years.
He had also worked for the former Paul A. Dever School.
A communicant of St. Anthony Church, Mr. Prado enjoyed fishing, gardening, dog racing, Foxwoods, and playing Santa at Christmas.
He was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, David M. Prado of Taunton; two daughters, Julie Prado of Escondido, CA and Jeannie Prado of Fall River; two stepdaughters, Brenda White of Raynham and Barbara Alphonse and her husband Kenneth of Taunton; and two grandchildren, Justin White of Rehoboth and Noah Alphonse of Taunton.
He was also the brother-in-law of Margaret Strange and her husband, the late Emerson Strange.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, July 25th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Fox Cemetery, Berkley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 24th from 5 to 8 p.m.

Ralph M. Coots, age 79 of Brockton, died Saturday July 21, 2012 at Epoch of Norton after a period of failing health. He was born in Taunton and raised in Brockton a son of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Blanchard) Coots. He had lived in Attleboro with his sister for five years before entering the nursing home. A graduate of Brockton High School, Ralph served with the US Army in Korea earning the Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Star.
Ralph’s entire working career was spent with the BPM/Shaws Supermarkets and he retired after 47 years of service. He was a member of the Bertocci Club and the Brockton city league bowling team. He loved to travel, dance and attend family gatherings. Ralph will be remembered as a loving and generous uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of Robert R. Coots and his wife Nancy of Brockton; Barbara J. Sampson of Lexington Park, Maryland; Sandra Thibault of Attleboro and the late Constance Dearth.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday 4-8 pm. Funeral Services will be private.

Mr. Albert A. Milot, of Amesbury and formerly of Taunton, met the challenge bravely and died Thursday, July 19 at his daughter’s residence following a period of failing health. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline M. (Shaw) Milot. He was born 84 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Henry A. and Rose L. (Berube) Milot. He was educated in Taunton and had been a city resident for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as an electrician at Texas Instruments in Attleboro for 26 years. He was previously employed at Reed and Barton Silversmiths in Taunton and at Wheaton College in Norton. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a member of the Leisurewoods Tenants Association in Taunton. He enjoyed working in his yard, growing flowers and tomatoes, camping, bus trips and spending time with his family. He was a communicant of the former St. Paul’s Church in Taunton.
In addition to his wife, of Amesbury, he was the loving father of Thomas Milot of Norton and Janet Milot Halpin of Amesbury. He also leaves 1 brother: Norman Milot of Vermont; 3 grandchildren: Jeffrey, Kaitlyn and Mikaela, and several nieces and nephews. Albert was also the brother of the late Alfred Milot of Norton.
A Visitation will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Saturday, July 28 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Mr. Norman C. Sprague, Jr., of Taunton, died Sunday, July 22 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was the loving companion to his angel, Hazel Taylor. He was born 72 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Norman C. and Lillian L. (Levesque) Sprague, Sr. He was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed at the former Paul A. Dever State School for 23 years. Norman was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served aboard the USS Sierra. He was a member of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. He enjoyed bowling, playing golf and softball, driving stock cars and was a NASCAR fan. He was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton.
In addition to his companion, he leaves: 2 sons: Steven R. Sprague of Taunton and Christopher J. Sprague of Medway; 2 daughters: Debra E. Blouin of Alexandria, N.H. and Sheri L. Sprague of Northfield, N.H.; 1 sister: Irene Crites of Onset; 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Joan Inacio of Middleboro.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Thursday, July 26 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Mayflower Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Peter worked as a Mental Retardation worker at Taunton State Hospital, he was a landscaper and rug & floor installer for various companies. Peter was a member of the Fish & Game Club in Taunton. In Taunton, July 27, 2012 Jimmy Bradshaw, age 24 died suddenly. Jimmy was the son of Robert F. Bradshaw of Berkley and Amanda Souza of Taunton. He has resided in Taunton his entire life. Jimmy was employed at Dunkin Donuts in Norwood as a manager. He played semi-pro football for the Mansfield Rage. Jimmy cherished his time with his children and family. He will be missed by all who loved him. Jimmy is survived by his children Peyton Marie and Ethan James Bradshaw both of Taunton. His mother of his two children Shana Taylor of Taunton. His siblings; John Mederois, Jonathan Bradshaw, Robin Chaves, Rachel Horta and Jona Kandarian all of Taunton. Jimmy also leaves several nieces and nephews and many close friends. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Weds., August 1st at 11am. EAST TAUNTON – Fernando M. DeAndrade, 68, an East Taunton resident for the past 15 years, died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on July 28, 2012.
He was 68.
He was the husband of Jeanette L. (Badger) DeAndrade, to whom he was married for the past 47 years.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, the son of the late Joseph and Rosa (Martins) DeAndrade, Mr. Andrade moved to the area at the age of twelve and attended Taunton schools.
He later resided in Brockton for over 32 years prior to moving to E. Taunton.
A U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. DeAndrade was employed by GM in Framingham as an assembler for 20 years, later working as a Fireman 2nd Class at the former Paul Dever School and MCI Walpole.
He was currently employed by Mastria Buick & Cadillac of Raynham.
A member of Elks Lodge 150, Taunton Sports Club, and Berkley American Legion Post 121, Mr. DeAndrade will be remembered as a very patriotic citizen who enjoyed debating politics.
A communicant of Holy Family Church, and avid N. E. Patriots fan, he enjoyed gardening, and had a special love for his granddaughters, Alexa and Jasmine.
In addition to his wife and grandchildren, he leaves a daughter, Kimberly M. Wilbur and her husband Robert of Taunton; two brothers, Osvaldo DeAndrade of NC, and Charles DeAndrade of FL; a sister, Irene Mello of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Alphonso DeAndrade.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, August 2nd at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church, East Taunton at 9 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.

TAUNTON – Delphina “Dee” (Correia) Granfield, wife of the late William B. Granfield, died at Taunton Nursing Home on July 30, 2012.

She was 90.

Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Joaquin and Alexandrina (Bartel) Correia.

Raised and educated in Taunton, she was a 1940 graduate of Taunton High School.

A retired office manager, Mrs. Grandfield was employed by the City of Taunton Building Department for over 30 years.

A communicant of St. Mary’s Church, she enjoyed traveling and reading.

Survivors include a brother, Bento Correia of Centerville; a sister, Eleanor Abreau of Taunton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also sister of the late Joaquin and Joseph Correia, Eva Barker, Alice Carvalho, Ida Correia and Mary Linhares.

Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday August 3rd at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church at 10 a.m.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miriam (Sullivan) Rose, 69, of Gulf Breeze, Fl.
Formerly, of Taunton, Ma, and Spartanburg, SC,
Died Sunday morning July 29, 2012 at her
Home after a yearlong battle with cancer.
She was with her husband of fifty years
George (Bill) Rose and her two children,
William James Rose of Naples, Fl. and Carolyn
Rose Mulcahy, of Gulf Breeze Fl. Miriam was 69.

Miriam, known as Mimi to her family and friends,
Was the oldest daughter in a family of nine siblings.
Also a graduate of Saint Mary’s High in Taunton, Ma.
Mimi went on to pursue higher education when she
Was in her early forties. She loved school and would
have likely remained a student of knowledge
forever if she could, but she chose to be a Registered Nurse.
She Graduated from BCC in Fall River, Ma with
an associate’s degree in Nursing. She moved to
South Carolina and worked many years as
an ICU Cardiac Nurse @ Spartanburg Regional Hospital.
Years later she moved back to Taunton to care for her
aging mother and began work as an RN in PCU @ Morton Hospital.
She retired 5 years ago when she moved to “paradise”.
She made many friends and enjoyed her time with
her husband until her passing. Mimi was a Communicant
of St Ann’s Church Gulf Breeze where she was a parish nurse.

Mimi was preceded in death by both her parents, Harry J
And Miriam (Quigley) Sullivan, (Taunton.) Her sister
Christine (Sullivan) Galuski (Cambridge, Ma.) and her
Son-in-law Richard James Mulcahy, (Taunton).
Other than her immediate family she leaves
behind her daughter –in- law Lisa S Rose, ( Naples, Fl.),
Her brother –in-law Gary Galuski (Cambridge,Ma)
as well as her seven siblings; H. James Sullivan, and
Wife Elisa of ( Jacksonville Fl). Gerald Sullivan and wife Francis,
Denise (Sullivan) Shea, Gregory Sullivan, Jane (Sullivan) Williams,
Paula (Sullivan) Borges and husband Alfred. (All of Taunton)
She also has seven grandchildren and two Great Grandsons.

MARBLE FALLS, TEXAS – Irene (Correia) Phillips, formerly of Taunton, died at the Kingsland Hills Care Center in Kingsland, Texas on June 24, 2012.
She was 80 years old.
Born in Taunton, MA, the daughter of the late Peter S. and Mary (Rapoza) Correia, she was raised and educated in Taunton, and was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
Mrs. Phillips resided in Florida for several years, where she was employed by the Holiday Inn in Orlando.
She moved to Texas many years ago.
Survivors include a son, Michael E. Phillips and his wife Cecelia of Marble Falls, TX; a daughter, Deborah Tola of Marble Falls; three granddaughters; and two great granddaughters.
Graveside Services will be held St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton on Saturday, Sept. 1st at 12 Noon.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Mrs. Rhea A. (Morin) Boudreau, of Taunton, died Monday, August 6 in Morton Hospital following a period of failing health She was the beloved wife of the late Leo L. Boudreau. She was born 92 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Joseph T. and Florida (Beaulieu) Morin. She was educated in Taunton and was a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a press operator at Modern Plastics for 10 years. Rhea was previously employed at both the former Whittenton Mills and Whittenton Garment Company for many years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and traveling with her late husband. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton.
She leaves: 1 son: Robert E. Boudreau of Taunton; 2 grandchildren: Jason Boudreau and Denise Boudreau-Tavares, both of E. Taunton; 2 great grandchildren: Connor Michael Boudreau and Rachael Colwell, both of E. Taunton; 1 great great granddaughter: Bryanna Ferris of E. Taunton, and several nieces and nephews. Rhea was also the sister of the late Rita Cyr, Anne Theriault, Pearl Blais, Ida Holloway, and Albert Morin.
Funeral services will begin from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Monday, August 13 at 12:00 Noon. Committal Services will follow in the V.A. Paul was an avid Patriots fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Everyday Paul enjoyed having coffee with his friends at the Taunton green. TAUNTON – Everett M. “Lefty” Cunha, a longtime Taunton resident, died at the Life Care Center of Raynham on Aug. 9, 2012.
He was 81.
Born and educated in Taunton, he was the son of the late Manuel and Lena (Lima) Cunha.
Employed for many years by Reed & Barton Silversmiths and the former Paul A. Dever State School, Mr. Cunha retired many years ago.
A proud Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served in Germany and North Africa, and received the German Occupation, Good Conduct, and Sharpshooter Medals.
Everett was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church and enjoyed traveling, and spending time with his grandson, Chris.
He will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Ethel M. (Andrews) Cunha; two sons, Wayne Cunha and his wife Donna of Berkley, and Brian Cunha and his partner Matthew Taylor of FL; a daughter, Sharon (Cunha) Boiros and her husband Daniel of Berkley; four grandchildren, Tracey Hill and her husband Toby of Yarmouth; Christopher Cunha of Berkley, Tracy Brown and her husband Aaron of Berkley, and Nathan Boiros of Taunton; five great grandchildren, Brady, Myles and Nina Hill of Yarmouth, and Ryleigh and Jillian Brown of Berkley; three nieces and several cousins.
He was also the brother of the late Laura Ferreira.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, Aug. 13th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Annunciation of The Lord Church at 10 a.m.

In Taunton, August 9, 2012 Ronald M. Mello son of the late Manuel and Ellen (Marshall) Mello died suddenly at his home on Fourth Street at the age of 59. Ronald was born in Taunton and educated at Dighton Rehoboth Regional High School class of 1970. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. Ronald worked for B& J Manufacturing in Taunton and before that worked for Mt Vernon Silver Co. in Attleboro. He was the father of Jeffrey Mello of NY and Matthew Mello of Brockton. In Taunton, August 11, 2012, formerly of West Weir St John E. Reilly son of the late Joseph and Annie (Keough) Reilly died at Marion Manor Nursing Home at the age of 83. Born in Taunton, John was a graduate of Monsignor James Coyle High School class of 1947 and was in the US Army during the Korean Era. He was a retired storekeeper for the city of Taunton school dept for over twenty six years. John received the Marion Medal from the former Sacred Heart Church in Taunton in 1975. He was a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites, Chapter of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Carmelite Monastery in Barrington, RI, Knights of Columbus and Monsignor James Coyle Council 82. John was the brother of Joseph R. Reilly of Fall River and the late Peter and Richard Reilly. Uncle of Marie, Joseph, Mark, Michael, Paul, Peter Reilly. Dear friend of Raymond Ferreira and the late Shirley Ferreira and their family Raymond Jr., David, Lola, Marie, John, Peter, Paul and Mark. She was a retired mail clerk for Keithley Metra Byte in Taunton and before that worked for Whittenton Garment for over forty years. Agnes enjoyed bowling, reading, playing cards, puzzles and was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan. TAUNTON – Barbara A. (Silvia) Titus, wife of Glenn A. Titus of Taunton, died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on Aug. 11, 2012.
She was 75.
Born and raised in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Silvia) Silvia.
She was a 1955 graduate of Taunton High School.
A lifelong resident of Taunton and communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church, Barb enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and approached each day with a beautiful smile.
Whenever asked how she was doing, she would always respond, “marvelous”.
In addition to her husband, she leaves two sons, Glenn Titus and his wife Deborah of North Dighton, and Jeffrey Titus of Taunton; a daughter, Cheryl Titus of Taunton; two sisters, Mary L. Draper and Jean O’Neil, both of Taunton; and three grandchildren, Courtney, Jordan and Josh Titus.
She was also the sister of the late Ann Silvia.
Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, Aug. 15th at 12 Noon.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will receive visitors from 10:30 a.m. until 12 Noon, prior to the services.
Evening calling hours are respectfully omitted.

Mrs. Helen A. (Beaulieu) Smith, of Taunton, died Monday, August 13 in Morton Hospital following a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late George Smith. She was born 87 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Dieudonne and Anna (Bielenda) Beaulieu. She was educated in Taunton and was a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a supervisor for Pride Workshop in Taunton for 20 years. Helen was a member of the Polish-American Citizens Club. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. She was a communicant of the former Immaculate Conception Church.
She leaves: 1 son: Christopher Beaulieu of Taunton; her dear friends: David Jacobs and his wife, Debra of Taunton, and Pauline Gates of Randolph.
A Funeral Service will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, August 17 at 7:00 P.M. Visiting Hours will precede the Service, Friday, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private.
