BOURNE – Jacqueline L. (Morehouse) Almeida, wife of the late John A. Almeida, died at the Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bourne on May 21, 2014. She was 85. Born, raised, and educated in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Helen (Phillips) Morehouse. A 1947 graduate of Taunton High School, Mrs. Almeida later owned and operated M & D Catering of Taunton. A former member of the Memorial Methodist Church, she sang for many years in the church choir, and was a member of the religious choral group, Saints & Singers. Survivors include a son, Barry J. Almeida of Bourne; a brother, Daniel J. Morehouse of Grants Pass, OR; a half-brother, Jesse T. Morehouse of ME; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late John E. Almeida. Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday May 28th at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Mayflower Hill Cemetery.
