TAUNTON – Victorino A. Rodrigues, husband of Maria L. (Lourenco) Rodrigues, died at his Taunton home on Sept. 7, 2012.
He was 84.
Born in Flores, Azores, he was the son of the late Constantine and Ana (Chaves) Rodrigues.
A resident of the area since 1967, Mr. Rodrigues was employed by the former Rennie Curtain Factory as a machine operator for twenty-two years before retiring in 1991.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
In his spare time, Mr. Rodrigues enjoyed listening to music, yard work and gardening.
In addition to his wife of fifty-four years, he leaves a son, Joe Rodrigues and his wife Donna of Taunton; a sister, Lourdes Amorin of Taunton; three grandchildren, Andrew Rodrigues, Joseph Rogers, Jr., and Jessica Gonzalez; three great grandchildren, Anastasia, Anthony and Adrian Gonzalez; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Jose, Antonio, Francisco, and Guilherme Rodrigues, Maria Silveira, Palmira Amaral, Filomena Silveira and Regina Bartolomeu.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, Sept. 12th at 8 a.m. a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church at 9 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 11th from 5 to 8 p.m.
