TAUNTON – Bernice “Bunny” M. (Butler) Plant, wife of the late Joseph A. “Fred” Plant, died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on Dec. 28, 2012. She was 84. Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Maurice A. and Mary A. (Deniz) Butler. Raised and educated in Taunton, Mrs. Plant operated a hair salon in Brockton, and also worked for the former Armor Bronze Company in Taunton. She later moved to Largo, Florida, where she resided for over forty years. While living in Florida, she was active in Stephen Ministries. Survivors include a sister, Eugenia B. (Lewry) Stillwell of Taunton; two nephews, David Lewry and his wife Kathy, and Richard Lewry and his wife Michele, all of Taunton; and two nieces, Carol Fraise and her husband Jack of Palm Coast, FL and Joanne Lewry of Dighton. She is also survived by her god-daughter and grand-niece Jennifer Nicol, her husband David, and their children Skyla, Cameron, and Oliver; grand-niece Kate Lewry-Darosa, her husband Jason, and their children Justine, Julia, and Alexander; grand-niece Lori Williams, her husband Robert, and their children Melanie, Brittney, and Camerin; grand-niece Nora Lewry and grand-nephew Nicholas Lewry. At her request, services will be private at the convenience of the family. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted.
