TAUNTON – Natalie (Andrade) Callahan, wife of the late Stephen L. Callahan, Jr. of Taunton, died at Brigham and Women’s Hospital on Jan. 5, 2015. She was 82. Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Raulino) Andrade. Mrs. Callahan was raised and educated in Taunton, and was a graduate of Taunton High School. A retired bookkeeper, she worked for several area companies, including Early Intervention and the Taunton Boys & Girls Club. She was a founder and past manager of the Pennies from Heaven Thrift Store. A communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, and member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Mrs. Callahan was past president of the St. Joseph Conference. She was also a former member of the Daughters of Isabelle, and a longtime supporter of Maryknoll Missions. Survivors include three sons, Michael S. and James R. Callahan, both of Taunton, and Richard P. Callahan of Boston; two daughters, Lois M. Callahan of Fairhaven and Linda Callahan of Taunton; a sister, Adeline Teixeira of Taunton; a grandson, Joshua Thompson and his wife Amanda of Georgia; a great grandchild, Jack Thompson of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday Jan. 12th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
