In Taunton, October 7, 2014 Maria DaCosta, Age 75, passed away at home following a lengthy battle with cancer while surrounded by her loving family. Maria is survived by her husband Manuel DaCosta of Taunton. She was born in St. Miguel, Portugal, the daughter of the late Louis & Maria (Angelina) DaCosta. Maria has resided in Taunton since 1966. She was employed at the former Renee’s Curtain Factory as a seamstress. Maria enjoyed crocheting and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her time with family. In addition to her husband, Maria leaves her children Maria Barao and her husband Frank of Fall River, Angelina Correia of Taunton and Steven DaCosta of Taunton. Maria also leaves her granddaughter Ashley M. Correia of Taunton. She is survived by her brother Manuel Costa and his wife Dalia of RI and was the sister of the late Louis DaCosta, Joseph Costa, Maria Gasper. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Monday, October 13th at 9 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Annunciation of the Lord Church in Taunton at 10 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 5-8 pm.
