In Taunton, March 1, 2014 Carol M. (McMorrow) Mendonca wife of Albert Mendonca died at Golden Living Center Wedgemere after a long battle with cancer at the age of 70. Born in Cambridge, Carol was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Aiken) McMorrow. Carol retired from Morton Hospital in Taunton where she worked in the business office. She was a member of the Annunciation of the Lord woman’s guild, anawan grange, weir seniors and she enjoyed dancing, singing and acting in the Taunton Theater Group also she cherished her time with her family and friends. She was the mother of Christine Benevides and her husband Louie of Taunton and Thea Hayden of Chicago. Grandmother of Ryan Mendonca and Cody Benevides of Taunton and great grandmother of Alaina Mendonca. Sister of Gail Donahue of Nashua, NH. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Tuesday, March 4th at 10 AM. A Mass will be held at the Annunciation of the Lord Church in Taunton at 11 AM. Calling hours will be on Monday from 5-8 PM. Interment St Joseph Cemetery in Taunton.
