Mr. Bruce E. “Chief” Metallic, also called “Honey B,” of Taunton, died unexpectedly Sunday, August 26 at his residence. He was the beloved companion of Patricia Skidmore. He was born 45 years ago in Campbellton, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Melvina Swasson and the late Joseph E. Metallic. A North American Indian, he was educated in Canada and had been a Taunton resident for the past 15 years. Bruce was previously employed as an iron worker for Local 7, havng worked for several steel companies in the area before being injured in 2000. He enjoyed detailing cars, attending Indian events, country music, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his companion, of Taunton, and his mother, of Canada, he leaves: 5 daughters: Ieterroni Beauvais of Canada, Casey (Northrup) Harnish, Amanda Skidmore, Hailey Northrup and Destiny Northrup all of Taunton; 1 brother: Kent Metallic of Canada; 3 granddaughters: Ann Marie Costa, Skylar Harnish and Jaymee Harnish, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street on Saturday, September 8 at 5:00 P.M. Visiting Hours will precede the Service, Saturday, from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
