Mrs. Norma J. (Dion) Maloney, of Taunton, died Thursday, December 12 in Taunton Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis Maloney. She was born 81 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Leo J. and Geraldine Y. (Tremblay) Dion. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. She enjoyed knitting and walking, and was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Church.
She leaves: 1 son: Brian Maloney and his wife, Debra of Taunton; 1 daughter: Eileen Henshaw of Minnesota; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Norma was also the mother of the late Glenn Maloney and the sister of the late Robert J. and Eugene R. Dion.
A Funeral Service will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street on Monday, December 16, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Visiting Hour will precede the Service, Monday, from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Norma’s family wishes to acknowledge Taunton Nursing Home and its staff for their excellent care.
