In Taunton, August 28, 2013 Mary S.(Sylvia) Fairbanks, age 95 passed away peacefully in Longmeadow Nursing Home in Taunton following a short illness. Mary was the wife of the late George A. Fairbanks Jr. She was born in Dighton, the daughter of the late Frank & Maria (Perry) Sylvia. A resident of Taunton for 75 years. Mary was a waitress for various restaurants in the area. Mary is survived by her beloved children George Fairbanks III, Douglas Fairbanks, Paul Fairbanks, Rosemary Fairbanks Gary, & the late Albert & Harold Fairbanks. She also leaves her Grandchildren Angela Jones, Alexis Balkey, Larry Fairbanks, Charisse Fairbanks Tulchinsky, Camille Fairbanks Babanikas, Also survived by 13 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home on Saturday, October 5th at 11 am Relatives & friends invited to attend. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 am.
