TAUNTON – James Vieira, husband of the late Mary Evelyn (Rodrigues) Vieira, died at the Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital on March 13, 2013. He was 89. Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Francisco and Constantina (Rodriques) Vieira. Educated in Taunton schools, Mr. Vieira later served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was employed by the former Fernandes Supermarkets as a meat cutter for forty years, retiring in 1985. Survivors include a son, Richard Vieira and his wife Anabela of Raynham; a sister, Laura Barreira of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were held privately at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton. Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery. www.silvafuneralhome.com.
