Mr. Michael E. Craft, formerly of Taunton, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 27 at his Pensacola, Florida residence. He was born 52 years ago in Taunton, the son of Shirley A. (Tavares) Nicolan of East Taunton and Earl B. Craft of Pensacola, Fla. He was educated in Taunton, having graduated from Taunton High School in 1978, and had been a city resident for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1979 to 1983. Following his military service, he was employed in communications for the Motorola Corporation in Mansfield, Ma. for a number of years. Michael enjoyed bowling, playing pool, writing, and was an avid New England sports fan. In addition to his parents, he leaves: his stepmother: Shirley Craft of Pensacola, Fla.; 1 son: Brian Craft of Pensacola, Fla.; 2 daughters: Jessica Wrigley and her husband, Brian of Attleboro, and Shannon Smith and her husband, Steve of North Dighton; 1 sister: Debbie Morris and her husband, Robert of Taunton; 1 grandson: Camden Craft of Taunton, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was also the stepson of the late John Nicolan of Taunton. A Funeral Service will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Thursday, March 7 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the V.A. National Cemetery, Bourne. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. In accordance with National Cemetery regulations, in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Michael Craft may be made to the Rhode Island Veterans’ Home, 480 Metacom Ave., Bristol, R.I., 02809.
