Mr. Arthur J. Proulx, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Sunday, February 24 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Lucille I. (Arguin) Proulx. He was born 85 years ago in Pawtucket, R.I., the son of the late Philip and Leona (Doucette) Proulx. He was educated in Taunton and had been a city resident for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a warehouseman for Swank, Inc. in both Attleboro and North Dighton for 30 years. Arthur enjoyed fishing, bowling, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton. In addition to his wife, he leaves: 2 brothers: Robert Proulx and his wife, Bernice of Taunton, and Roger Proulx and his wife, Joan of Taunton; 1 brother-in-law: Lucien Arguin of Taunton, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, March 1 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
