TAUNTON – Alice (Almeida) Silvia, wife of the late Louis Silvia, Sr., died at Morton Hospital & Medical Center on Dec. 25, 2012. She was 85. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Branco) Almeida. Raised and educated in Bristol, Rhode Island, she had been a Taunton resident since 1946. Mrs. Silvia worked at the former Paul A. Dever School as an LPN for thirty-five years, retiring in 1988. She is survived by a son, Louis Silvia, Jr. of Taunton; a daughter, Barbara Ann Semas of Taunton; a granddaughter, Melissa Jean Holt and her husband Jonathan of North Dighton; a great grandson, Logan Brady Holt of North Dighton; and several half-brothers, half-sisters, nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mary Brown and Belmira Watts. Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, Dec. 28th at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
