TAUNTON – Felix Ortiz Melendez of Taunton, husband of the late Olga Montijo, died at Morton Hospital on April 30, 2016. He was 67 years old. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Alfredo Ortiz Maldonado and the late Ricarda Melendez. Felix was educated in Puerto Rico and moved to the U.S. in 1962. A retired foreman, he was employed by the ADM Cocoa Company in Mansfield for over 38 years. Survivors include two daughters, Jenny and Nelly Ortiz, both of Taunton; 6 brothers, Jaime, Raul, Rafael, Angel, Alfredo and Cruz Ortiz, all of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Auria Ortiz. Funeral Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway Taunton on Wednesday, May 4th at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Mayflower Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
