Mrs. Lois Ann (Murray) Perkins, of Raynham, died Monday, May 7 in the Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Robert E. Perkins. She was born 78 years ago in Brockton, the daughter of the late Wallace J. and Rose (Harper) Murray. She was educated in Brockton and had been a Raynham resident since 1971. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a salesclerk in the Gift Department of St. Pierre’s Pharmacy in Taunton for several years. Lois previously volunteered in the Gift Shop at Morton Hospital for a number of years, and was formerly employed as an operator for New England Telephone. A homemaker and mother, Lois accompanied her husband to various locations throughout his career in the U.S. Air Force. She was a member of the 20th Century Catholic Club and was a member of the Ladies Sodality at her church at Eilson Air Force Base in Alaska. Lois was also a Brownie Leader during her children’s school years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Raynham.
In addition to her husband, she leaves: 1 son: Michael R. Perkins and his wife, Susan of Franklin; 1 daughter: Yvonne M. DeNuccio and her husband, Stephen of Providence, R.I.; 2 brothers: Richard Murray and his wife, Phyllis of Easton, and Craig Murray of Raynham; 2 sisters: Marilyn Derby of Hanson, and Bette Lou Puopolo and her husband, Michael of Bourne; 3 grandchildren: Christopher and Michelle DeNuccio, and Jenielle Perkins, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Robert Murray and Rosemary Moran.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Friday, May 11 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Church, Raynham, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Pleasant Street Cemetery, Raynham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
