Miss Marie T. Blain, of Taunton, died Friday, November 13 in Longmeadow of Taunton following a period of failing health. She was born 91 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Noel and Celanese (Hanrahan) Blain. She was educated in Taunton, having graduated from Taunton High School, and was a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, Marie was employed as a secretary for the V.A. Medical Center, Brockton for many years. She was previously employed at Reed and Barton Silversmiths. Marie enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Parish in Taunton. She leaves: several nieces and nephews, including Louise Souza and Susan (Malloch) Taylor, both of East Taunton. A Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be celebrated at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 249 Whittenton Street on Friday, December 11 at 9:00 A.M. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
